A lattice window made of stone and iron remains from the Medici Riccardi Palace in Florence.
I was captivated by the way the light rhythmically played within this neat, square structure.
The decoration, which combines artisanal skill and spatial order, has inspired designs that focus on lines and gaps in jewelry.
The simple exterior belies the beautiful murals and decorations, creating a space woven with straight lines and curves.
I still remember how, as I looked closely, various shapes and patterns began to emerge, each of which seemed to have a quiet meaning.
I put the feelings that flowed through me at that time into a square motif made up of soft curves.
